This film documents the historic nurses strike at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. At the center of the strike is a concern about working conditions and staffing, specifically the high patient-to-nurse ratios that nurses say makes it difficult to provide safe and sufficient care to every patient.
Radical Labor confronts US labor’s uneven history advocating for immigration and racial justice and argues that labor struggles are interconnected with race, gender, sexual orientation, and citizenship status. The film shows how union organizers in Colorado are building solidarity with allies within and adjacent to the labor movement.

Making the Slam profiles the Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement as it prepares to compete in the international poetry competition, "Brave New Voices." PYPM finished second in the 2012 tournament and won the competition in 2011, so the expectations for the 2013 slam team are high. Six youth poets will travel to Chicago to compete with some of the best youth slam poets in the world.
